Suburban

Curtis Burt opened Hilltop furniture on southwest 29th street in Oklahoma City in 1949. His son Jack Burt and his wife Patricia closed Hilltop and opened Suburban Furniture on south Pennsylvania avenue in 1959. Jack and Pat had a passion for contemporary furnishings. With their passion for contemporary furniture and frankly their hardheadedness they developed Suburban furniture into one of the finest contemporary showrooms anywhere in this country.

Their son Jeff and his wife Sherry took over the operations of Suburban in the late 1980’s. With the completion of their current location at 201 North Portland avenue in 1995 Jeff and Sherry with their two sons Brandon and Jeremy have committed themselves to the future of contemporary furniture in Oklahoma.
